Anima Movere Press Debuts with Groundbreaking Neurodivergent Parenting Guide

There's Nothing Wrong With How I'm Wired Offers Parents a Rare View From the Inside Out

Mississippi — May 20, 2026 — Anima Movere Press, an independent literary imprint founded by author and poet Casie Porter-Gonzalez, announces the release of its debut title: There's Nothing Wrong With How I'm Wired: A Plain-Spoken Guide for Parents of Neurodivergent Children, now available exclusively as an eBook for $4.99.

Written from fifty years of lived neurodivergent experience, There's Nothing Wrong With How I'm Wired offers parents something most guides never attempt — a window into the inner world of a neurodivergent child, written by someone who has lived there. Porter-Gonzalez, who is autistic, an empath, and a highly sensitive person, draws on her own childhood and her decades of experience as a parent and grandparent to translate the neurodivergent experience into language parents can actually use.

The book walks readers through a complete day in a neurodivergent child's life — from the jarring moment the alarm sounds to the moment they finally fall asleep — explaining in plain, jargon-free language what is happening beneath every behavior that confuses or exhausts a parent. It addresses sensory processing, executive dysfunction, masking, meltdowns, and communication, and closes with two practical tools: a customizable Calm Plan and a set of Communication Cards.

There's Nothing Wrong With How I'm Wired is the first title published under Anima Movere Press — Latin for "a soul in motion" — an independent press and creative repository founded on the belief that the most meaningful stories are told from the inside out. Future titles under the imprint will span poetry, nonfiction, and the spaces between them.

There's Nothing Wrong With How I'm Wired: A Plain-Spoken Guide for Parents of Neurodivergent Children is available now on Amazon Kindle for $4.99.

"Your child doesn't need to be fixed. They need to be seen. And you — the parent willing to try to understand — are already further along than you think."
